The New York Museum of Transportation in Rochester New York is planning to have its newly-restored 1927 Casey Jones motorcar outside, on the rails, for a small celebration of completion of the project on August 15 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. At 1:30 (approx) we will have a small "presentation", which will be a basic ribbon cutting (no champagne!). I will be there to answer questions all day, and we will run back and forth over a small section of track on the half hours, so as not to interfere with our regularly scheduled track car rides. This will be a showing only, we are not going to attempt to actually give rides on the car. After 5:00PM the car will be put back in the display area where it will reside until next summer. This is mentioned in the August issue of Trains magazine in the rail museum area.
