FOR SALE (Oct 01) CA - Fairmont CR-7 (M14) with highway trailer. This car was from the Canadian Pacific Railroad and believed to be in service at Castlegar, B.C. Canada. (The lift handles were shipped there as evidence by the shipping instructions). I bought it in 2002 it has been kept under wraps since that time. I runs very strong, has a new alternator and new fenders/running boards. The floor pans have significant rust and are bent (no holes) from heavy RR use. I have new pans which are included. It is NARCOA ready and fun to operate. The trailer was custom built by DHM Enterprises in Sacramento, CA. from Les King tilt bed trailer drawings. The trailer was upgraded from the original drawings and put in service hauling an “A-4” car. It has a longer frame (10’ bed) for better tilt angle, larger and heavier tubing with ¼” x 2 flat bar on top of the tube rails. It also has a hand winch and 2’ belt ratchet tie downs. FOR SALE (Sep 24) IL - Frisco MT-14, it is NARCOA ready. The car is a 1975 shipped to the Frisco at Springfield, MO. I have the original Fairmont and Onan parts manual. The car was completely disassembled, sand blasted and then assembled with new plated or stainless hardware. There was no less than three coats of Federal (school bus) yellow applied and new stainless steel panels as the pictures depict. The aluminum roof was painted with a metallic paint in an attempt to match the stainless. The gas tank is a Les King eight gal. with new sediment bowl and fuel line. The wheels are two years old and where purchased new from Fairmont. They have less than 500 miles on them. There is a new Les King turntable which can be remote controlled by a pendant like the doors lock on a new automobile. The car was restored in early 2006 with five new complete bearing housing assemblies and the axles where built up and machined to standard dimensions. The car has new safety glass with new rubber molding also, new brake shoes, linkage and pins. All three sprockets, idler bearing assembly and chain as well as both chain rub rails where put on new in 2005. A major expense was the overhaul of the Onan CCKB engine. The block was cooked out and inspected for wear and damage. It was bored .030 and the crank turned .010/.010. Valve guides where replaced and valves where ground. A rebuilt oil pump and carburetor completed the engine rebuild. An improved input oil seal was installed, however as with all Fairmont transmissions it leaks a little oil out the input shaft. The flywheel was resurfaced and a new clutch disc and throw out bearing where also installed. There is a Motorola Maxtrac 128 channel radio programmed with 99 ARA, 7 weather and Narcoa frequencies. It sports a four (4) station intercom with two (2) noise cancelling headsets and may be activated by VOX or P.T.T switches. The four (4) seats are from Northern Tool. Forward seats have an adjustable suspension to take the rail slap out of the ride. This car has adjustable speed wipers with a Hella headlight and Les King ditch lights. The ditch and LED brake lights can wig wag if desired. I should mention the canvas was purchased new in early 2006. The car has 100% new wiring and both the starter and alt. where rebuilt, also has Wolo Silver Streak dual air horns with an instant on compressor, it also sports a chrome plated W.L.Jenkins bell. The car performs well and is extremely reliable. If you are seeking a one of a kind MT14 this is it. FOR SALE (Jul 01) PA - 1938 Northwestern 566-W Railroad Motorcar. This is one of only three that was built for the Maine Central Railroad. It was originally powered by a Waukesha engine but is now powered by a Hercules 4 cylinder engine. It has a Ford Industrial transmission with 3 forward and one reverse gear. It has a Ford Industrial gearbox that is reversable with a quarter turn of a lever so you will have 3 speeds in reverse and one forward, which is really nice if you are at the end of a deadend track and don't want to turn the car around using the installed turntable. It has digital intruments that include clock, compass, speedometer, thermometer, and electrical distrobution system. AM/FM High power 25 watt x 4 channel Cassette Radio system with 4 6x9 boxed speakers. Interior has lights, heat, dual fire extingushers, and coffee maker.

It has front and rear class II receiver hitches. Winshield wipers and tail and brake lights and Headlight. Super heavy duty 2 wheel chain drive system. 4 wheel brake system. Hand clutch, Dual crank turntable, 10 Gal. gas tank and 5 Gal. reserve, Electric fuel pump and Analog instruments that include Oil preasure, Amp and Water Temp gauges. Car is NARCOA ready and the only one known to still exist. The other two I was told were scrapped years ago. Car will hold driver and 4 passengers. Has heavy duty cargo rack on the back. Has complete side and rear curtains with windows if weather is bad. I only ever used them once. They go on in a couple minutes with snaps and zippers. I'm missing the piece of fiberglass that on the right side of the car (As you were sitting in the car facing forward) that goes just behind the side window, between the window and door. the piece goes all the way from the top of the side window to the bottom of the window.
