A cave-in has closed the line indefinitely. Structural engineers have estimated the cost to fix the tunnel at over $300,000. While this tourist railroad has been profitable every year, it cannot afford this kind of expense. The railroad has permitted many NARCOA excursions over the years and has set up project SOS (Save Our Skunk). They are requesting donations in any amount to help save this national treasure.
